Job Title: Regional Engineer CenturyLink is looking for five candidates, two electrical and three mechanical, to join the Regional Engineering Team inside Central Engineering to support of our Global portfolio of Data Centers. In addition to specialized knowledge as a degreed Engineer, the successful candidate will have a working knowledge of both electrical and mechanical systems, and will be expected to remain current in industry knowledge and best practices through participation in engineering, codes and standards bodies such as NFPA, ASHRAE, IEEE, OSHA, NEC, NETA, including industry best practices and networking organizations such as Battcon, AFCOM, Green Grid, Uptime Institute, Data Center Dynamics, and 7X24 Exchange. Provide feedback and recommendations regarding site effectiveness. Provide 24x7 technical support and subject matter expertise for the Data Center teams. Ability to develop and analyze short circuit, arc flash, and protection device coordination analyses. General knowledge of mechanical systems. Understanding of all HVAC systems operations, and control systems; competent in performing heat load and air balancing calculations.
