Provide support to WSP geology and engineering staff in maintaining compliance with regulatory requirements for investigation and remediation projects, including preparing HAZWOPER H&S plans. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree safety sciences; in environmental science, studies, or engineering; or related discipline plus 5 to 10 years of experience. Must have a working and/or expert knowledge of all U.S. health and safety laws and regulations as well as familiarity with the OSHA general industry regulations. Must have experience working with H&S compliance issues in an industrial setting. Be able to solve problems independently, using knowledge gained from increasing experience. Demonstrate the processes involved with managing audit programs, initiating an audit, preparing for an audit, conducting onsite audit activities, reporting on audit findings, and conducting post-audit activities. Understand the application of H&S management system principles. Possess clear and concise verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact with clients and management at all levels. Possess strong conceptual, analytical, and problem solving skills with the ability to readily identify key issues and risks and develop strategies or recommendations for improvement.
