Establish and maintain evaluation criteria and training certification courses to ensure driver compliance with applicable regulations and company policies. Assist Safety Department to enhance overall corporate safety culture. QUALIFICATIONS: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from twoâyear college or technical school; or six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have prior driving experience and acceptable driving record to meet driver qualification standards. Demonstrated success developing and deploying driver training/development programs. Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong communication skills and ability to speak in front of large audiences. Excellent Microsoft Office skills including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: CDL â A Class license. Train the trainer certification. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Enhance current driver training program to include: new driver orientation, on-going evaluation criteria, and annual training courses. Evaluate new drivers through verbal, written, and hands âon testing (road testing). Tracks training certification levels and records completion status. Delivers completion certificates to drivers. Consults with operations, HR and Safety departments to effectively evaluate driver requirements. Proactively consults with Operations, HR and Safety departments to be effectively involved in ongoing recruitment projects. Assist with vehicle accident investigation and post-accident training requirements. Run routine reports to identify driver performance trends and disseminate information to Operations teams. Manage driver safety awareness campaigns and incentive programs. Updates operations of training certification levels for existing employees. Conducts, prepares and teaches all materials deemed essential to satisfactorily complete required course itinerary. Reviews and compiles updated training techniques and information as to keep current with change and advancement. Assist Safety department with other non-driver training related projects.
