This position provides an opportunity to further advance the cutting-edge technology that supports some of our nation’s core defense/intelligence services and systems. GDMS employees work closely with esteemed customers to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:The Senior Structural / Civil Engineer will lead structural analysis required for all program tasking and deliverables, working independently and/or with a team of project engineers, as specific tasking dictates. Structural analysis will include design and development of a range of metal, masonry, composite, and wood structures and components. In addition, there is opportunity to serve as an Integrated Product Team (IPT) lead, and to also support on a diverse range of technical tasking. Scope of tasking could include design, development and production of structural systems with mechanical and utility sub-system components. Work involves hands-on development (design, prototyping, and testing) of one-of-a-kind solutions,often in support of quick response capability (QRC) programs. IPT support could include overall deliverable integration, preparation and presentation of design milestone reviews, scheduling and planning duties, and other special assignments. The role will include working with the program team and sub-contractors in addition to direct interface with customer representatives.
