Job DescriptionThe Eye Center is a busy, five doctor, ophthalmology practice with two offices in the Rockville area. We have an outstanding staff and offer a great work environment. We are looking for an experienced optician to join our team. The candidate must be professional at all times, courteous and should have outstanding customer service and sales abilities. A minimum of two years experience in the optical field is required. Familiarity with Vision Service Plan, Eyemed and Davis Vision is helpful. Duties will include:Assisting patients with the selection of frames and lenses, inspecting the quality of completed eyewear, dispensing eyewear to patients, and assisting patients with any of their eyewear needs.Accurately taking necessary measurements for prescription eyewear and ordering of prescription lenses.Promptly submitting insurance claims as needed.Foster teamwork and support co-workers to insure the office runs smoothly.Our offices are open Monday-Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM. There are NO EVENINGS or WEEKENDS. The candidate will be required to work in both of our Rockville offices.Company DescriptionBusy, Multi doctor practice, in Rockville, MD.
